"The 2018 Syrah Sonoma County has a classic, California, cool-climate style that gives up ripe black fruits supported by lots of sappy green herbs, violets, bay leaf, and a kiss of bacon fat. These all carry over to the palate, where the wine is medium to full-bodied and has a rich, mouthfilling texture, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. This character-filled, balanced Syrah can be drunk any time over the coming decade or so."
