"I love Domaine Leflaive’s Combettes year in and year out, but the 2012 is going to be a very, very special vintage for this consistently great wine. The stunning nose soars from the glass in a pure and primary constellation of white peach, lemon, a touch of clementine, a marvelously complex base of minerality, a bit of iodine, lemon blossoms , vanillin oak and just a wisp of the beeswax to come in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and laser-like in its focus, with a great core of fruit, a tightly-knit and oh, so promising personality, crisp acids and stunning length and grip on the seamless and electric finish. A brilliant wine."
