"Dark coffee color with a golden-greenish tinge on the edge. Fragrant and intense aromatics leap from the glass and delight the senses with a maelstrom of dark characters ever evolving in the glass, including crème de caramel, roasted coffee grounds, walnut skin, mahogany, a char or creosote component and pure vanilla bean. Itâs light-bodied and surprisingly so for Malmsey with velvet-like fluidity and is hedonistic, nonetheless. The flavor profile or at least the sweetness level seems more similar to Boal, with zippy acidity along with peach and tangerine fruit flavors and a creamy finish that seems weightier than the earlier attack. The finish presents an interesting duality of dry and sweet citrus laden flavors and simply superlative longevity."
