"The 2012 les Cras from Domaine Barthod is utterly stunning, offering up a pure, deep and beautifully reserved aromatic constellation of red and black cherries, a touch of blood orange, gamebirds, brilliantly complex minerality, roses and a touch of high-end mustard seed. On the palate the wine is deep, pure, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with striking transparency, flawless focus and balance, great backend mineral drive, suave tannins and stunning length and grip on the very vibrant and classic finish. A great, great wine in the making."
