". . . the 1992 Trento Metodo Classico Extra Brut Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore has evolved beautifully to show creamy intensity and fine perlage that exhibits surprising persistence given the age of the wine. The bouquet is complex and enticing with a savory component that includes dried fruit, hard cheese rind and bread crust. There is a distant whiff of porcini mushroom cream as well. I am most surprised by the depth and breadth this wine delivers to the palate. It shows tight grip and a long finish. The Lunelli family at Ferrari is celebrating an exciting new member of its vinous family. A new wine, 2006 Trento Metodo Classico Extra Brut Rosé Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore, now completes its portfolio of high-end sparkling wine. Rosé sparkling wine accounts for a small amount of the total production at Ferrari (only 11%), but a wine like this speaks to a growing opportunity for Ferrari and for Italian Metodo Classico wine in general. I was blown away by this beautiful new product."

Italy grows more indigenous grape varieties than any other country and produces wine in all 20 of its regions. From Piedmont's Nebbiolo to Tuscany's Sangiovese, its finest wines pair structure and bright acidity with a strong sense of place.
The world's most versatile white grape, producing everything from steely Chablis to rich, oaked whites. Its neutrality makes it a mirror of terroir and winemaking, and the foundation of white Burgundy and Champagne.
