"A late release, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain, at seven years of age, still has an inky purple color, gorgeous, spicy, slightly toasty, smoky blackcurrant fruit, a full-bodied, extravagant richness, long finish, and great overall balance. Only 100 cases of this wine were released. This estate-grown Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon came from a single vineyard not far from the town of Angwin, at an elevation of 2,000 feet. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 24 months in French oak. This is a beauty to drink . . . . obert Foley is one of the renowned and iconic winemakers of Northern California. He cut his teeth at Pride Mountain Vineyards, where he quickly established his impressive credentials. He has been on his own for a number of years, and these wines represent his current releases."
