Noticeable if slight notes of volatile acidity combine with densely fruit and ripe aromas that include nuances of spice, earth and sous bois, all of which can be subsequently found on the rich, delicious, naturally sweet and enveloping flavors that possess a beguiling mouth feel as it's at once opulent yet refined, all wrapped in a sappy and mouth coating finish that is impressively persistent. This is now fully mature with no unresolved tannin remaining though it should easily be capable of holding for another 20 to 30 years. A classic Richebourg that offers both power and richness in spades. Tasted twice with similar notes.
