“As usual, the 2023 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru is the wine that will require the most patience in the Dugat-Py range this year. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of exotic spices, dark berries, blood orange and peony, it's full-bodied, deep and layered, with a brooding core of fruit underpinned by a chassis of fine, sweet tannins, concluding with a long, saline finish.”

Mazis-Chambertin is a Grand Cru in Gevrey-Chambertin, in Burgundy's Cote de Nuits, producing robust, firmly structured Pinot Noir reds of power and concentration that closely rival neighboring Chambertin and age well.
2023 in Burgundy delivered a large, healthy and abundant crop from a warm, sunny season; the wines are ripe, generous and approachable, with the whites showing good freshness and the reds offering soft, accessible fruit.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
