"The 2013 Cherbaudes from Louis Boillot is also outstanding, as these very old vines have really excelled in this vintage. The outstanding nose jumps from the glass in a blaze of cherries, plum, mustard seed, coffee, incipient notes of venison, vanillin oak, lovely soil tones and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bdoied and beautifully soil-driven, with a rock solid core of fruit, suave tannins, tangy acids and great focus and grip on the very long and beautifully balanced finish. High class juice."

Produces the world's most revered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a mosaic of tiny, terroir-defined climats. Its hierarchy of village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards makes site the ultimate expression of quality.
The Cote de Nuits' largest Grand Cru commune, producing powerful, structured and deeply flavored Pinot Noir built for long aging.
2013 in Burgundy was a difficult, cool and hail-hit year with a late harvest and small crop; the wines are fresh, lean and classically styled, with bright acidity and firm structure, especially the reds.
A thin-skinned, terroir-sensitive red producing perfumed, silky and elegant wines of red-berry fruit and earthy complexity. It reaches its apogee in Burgundy.
