"Still not bottled, the 2013 Terry Hoage Vineyard shows lots of Grenache character in its plum, strawberries, incense and minty bouquet. This gives way to sexy, full-bodied red that has beautiful fruit, excellent mid-palate depth and sweet tannin that emerge on the finish. While tasting this with Justin, he commented that he always gets a hint of watermelon rind in this wine and I couldn't disagree. It will be reasonably approachable on release yet benefit from short-term cellaring and have 10-15 years of longevity."
