"Around 80 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, joined by components of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and even a little Malbec every now and then, the cuvée renders the Oakville increasingly complex. Robustly ruby-garnet, with delicate lightening at the rim . . . . dark fruit on the nose, cassis, fully ripe plums, but overall still reserved, juicy, and sweet on the palate; appears to be very complex, with soft tannins, a velvety texture; the oak notes are well-integrated, featuring good length and some cellaring potential."
