"Reminding me of a St Joseph from Gonon, the 2015 Syrah Las Madres Vineyard Hula Block offers a deep purple color as well as classic peppery Syrah notes of blueberries, crème de cassis, liquid violets, olive brine and even a hints of bacon fat. Supple, rounded and voluptuous on the palate, with plenty of Cali fruit mixed with beautiful elegance, freshness and length, it’s an incredible value to drink anytime over the coming decade or more."
