OWC. Signed by Alvaro Palacios. Alvaro Palacios has established himself as arguably the greatest winemaker of his generation in Spain. He led the renaissance of two important Spanish wine regions, Priorat and Bierzo. And and in both regions, he remains its most revered producer. His iconic LâErmita, from Priorat, is widely consideredâalong with Peter Sisseckâs Pingusâ to be the most important new Spanish wine of the modern era. Alvaro has generously donated, and signed, a very rare 5-liter bottle of his 2002 LâErmita, in its original wood case. Benefiting The Chris Robles Fund.

"Deep, brooding, sappy aromas of black raspberry, maraschino cherry, dark chocolate, menthol and pepper. A huge, creamy, seamless wine with remarkably deep flavors of black fruits and minerals and nothing cooked about it. Wonderfully dense, broad wine that offers exceptional palate coverage. Finishes with outstanding length and noble, superfine tannins."

Spain has the largest area under vine of any country and a deep tradition of oak-aged reds. Tempranillo-based wines from Rioja and Ribera del Duero, alongside Priorat's Garnacha and Carinena, anchor its fine-wine reputation.
A rugged Catalan region whose steep llicorella slate slopes produce dense, mineral Garnacha and Carinena. Low yields and old vines give wines of great intensity and concentration.
One of only two wines with Spain's top DOQ status, yielding dense, mineral Garnacha and Carinena from steep slate slopes.
