"Even more stunning than the BG, the larger, more concentrated and voluminous 1998 Amarone TB possesses an intense bouquet offering a smorgasbord of aromas, including plums, figs, smoke, saddle leather, chocolate, and sweet cherry and berry fruit. Dense, with great concentration, sweet tannin, a multi-layered, opulent mouthfeel, and a 50+ second finish, it is about as provocative and riveting as an Amarone can be. Seemingly more forward and evolved than the 1997, which seems to have closed down over the last few months . . ."
