"Saturated ruby. Spicy, mineral-driven aromas of blackberry, cassis, cherry skin and licorice, with a smoky, herbal undercurrent. Shows fleshy dark berries on entry but the herbal element gains strength in the middle palate, along with a spicy red fruit quality. The smoke and herbal qualities carry through a long, sappy finish. Fans of classic Loire Valley cabernet franc will dig this wine's herb and bitter fruit character but those whose palates run to sweeter fruit should probably give this a wide berth."
