"Ruby-red. Suave, floral scents of cherry, strawberry preserves, raspberry, smoked meat, vanilla bean and mocha. Medium in weight but packing serious flavor, with sweet red berry and cherry flavors beautifully complemented by earthier notes of cured tobacco, musky underbrush and fresh herbs. A silky, wonderfully pure wine with superb balance and the texture and brightness of a major-league Burgundy. Finishes supple and long, on a note of ripe cherry."

Spain has the largest area under vine of any country and a deep tradition of oak-aged reds. Tempranillo-based wines from Rioja and Ribera del Duero, alongside Priorat's Garnacha and Carinena, anchor its fine-wine reputation.
Spain's noble red grape, producing structured, savory wines of red fruit and leather that respond beautifully to oak aging in Rioja and Ribera del Duero.
