"Beautiful fruit purity. Has the same vivid quality as Douro red in many ways. Spicy, meaty palate. Smooth length and silky in texture, with the alcohol very well obscured by fruit. Developing a bit of leathery, liquorice complexity but there is still a lot more to come here. There's a similar granitic intensity to Hermitage. One of Canada's very best."
